Code of Practice and Standard of Proficiency

In consultation with the profession, chiropractic organisations, representatives of patients and members of the public, we set and maintain the standards for chiropractic education and training as well as the standards of conduct and practice that chiropractors are required to meet.

All of these standards are reviewed on a regular basis, to ensure that they keep up to date with good practice in the provision of healthcare services. The current version of the GCC Code of Practice and Standard of Proficiency Required for the Competent and Safe Practice of Chiropractic came into force on 30 June 2010; paragraph C4 was amended in December 2010. It is also available in Welsh.
