New Chief Executive & Registrar
The General Chiropractic Council has appointed Tricia McGregor MBE as Chief Executive and Registrar for an interim period continuing until the end of December 2018.
Tricia is an experienced board-level leader with some 30 years’ experience in the health care, social enterprise and employee owned sectors. She now combines interim executive roles with serving as a non-executive director in two health-related organisations. Her most recent interim appointment was as CEO with the Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People where she led organisation-wide development including strategy, governance and work on CQC quality standards. Prior to that she was Managing Director of Central Surrey Health, having established it as the UK’s first co-owned social enterprise from NHS community health services.
Tricia is a strategic thinker with a track record of influencing at national/political and local level and a strong commitment to organisational improvement and staff engagement. Her clinical background is as a speech and language therapist and she remains registered with HCPC. In her earlier management career at the East Elmbridge and Mid Surrey Primary Care Trust she was responsible for delivering significant service redesign with full stakeholder support.
She is currently a Non-Executive Director of the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Academic Health Science Network and of the South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. She is also a Visiting Professor in the School of Health Sciences at the University of Surrey.
