All chiropractic degree programmes in the UK must meet the requirements set out in the GCC’s Education Standards. The GCC's Code sits at the heart of the Education Standards, ensuring that students are well-placed to meet the vital requirements upon graduation.

Our Education Standards cover requirements relating to the:

  • level and nature of the degree programme
  • outcomes that students need to achieve
  • nature of the clinical experience and practice that students need to have before they can qualify with a chiropractic degree.

Anyone calling themselves a chiropractor in the UK must be registered with the GCC. This means you have the skills, knowledge, good health and character to practise safely and effectively and are fit to practise.
