Job Vacancy: Protection of Title Caseworker and Committee Administrator

This is a great time to be joining the GCC as Protection of Title Caseworker and Committee Administrator as we progress our ambitious strategy, and during a time of significant change to the healthcare regulatory landscape.

Following a recent review we have redesigned the way we carry out Fitness to Practise work, putting in place new processes to enhance regulatory work such that it is efficient and effective for patients and registrants. The Protection of Title Caseworker and Committee Administrator is a key member of the Fitness to Practise Directorate and they have a key role to play in carrying out Fitness to Practise work, which is efficient and effective for patients and registrants. You will have responsibility for providing administrative support to enable the GCC Practice Committees (Professional Conduct – PCC, Health and Investigating) to carry out their functions; and to contribute to their continuous improvement.  You will also lead and undertake Protection of title (“S.32”) investigations where there are concerns that non registered individuals are either expressly or by implication describing themselves as a chiropractor.

Because we are a small organisation, to succeed here you will need to be a great colleague; supportive; resourceful and flexible. You will have a high profile and be visible to the team; with our stakeholders in the regulatory system; our partners; and with registrants and patients.

The GCC is a great place to work, and we do so together. It matters to us that we make a real difference in protecting the public and developing the profession. We are positive and work hard – we support, value, care and trust each other. We innovate, and embrace diversity and our growth.

To discuss the role, and/or the process contact Niru Uddin, Director of Fitness to Practise, n.uddin@gcc-uk.org 020 7841 0376 or Juliet St Bernard, Investigations Manager, j.stbernard@gcc-uk.org 020 7713 5155.

Closing date: 2 March 2020 Noon.
