Job Vacancy: Policy and Communications Officer

The GCC is an independent statutory body established by Parliament to regulate over 3,000 Chiropractors in the UK to ensure the safety of patients undergoing chiropractic treatment.

This is a great time to be joining the GCC as we progress our ambitious strategy, and where we contribute to, and benefit from, significant changes to the healthcare regulatory landscape.

Following a recent organisational change the GCC is seeking to appoint an experienced policy and communications officer in the new Development Directorate.  The successful candidate will be responsible for communicating and promoting the GCC’s registration, education and standards development functions to a range of internal and external audiences maximising on our new website and lead on policy work around the Code and guidance.

Because we are a small organisation, to succeed here you will need to be a great colleague; supportive; resourceful and flexible. You will have a high profile and be visible to the team; to the Chair and Council; with our stakeholders in the regulatory system; our partners; and with registrants and patients.

The GCC is a great place to work, and we do so together. It matters to us that we make a real difference in protecting the public and developing the profession. We are positive and work hard – we support, value, care and trust each other. We innovate, and embrace diversity and our growth.

To discuss the role, and/or the process contact Penny Bance, Director of Development, p.bance@gcc-uk.org 020 7841 0372 or Nick Jones, Chief Executive and Registrar, n.jones@gcc-uk.org. 020 7841 0371

Closing date: 9 March 2020 Noon.
