GCC expectations of chiropractors as Covid-19 moves from pandemic to endemic

With the World Health Organisation announcement on 5 May that Covid-19 no longer constitutes a public health emergency of international concern; and the withdrawl of the Covid-19 app, the GCC has reviewed its guidance and advice for chiropractors.
The government guidance for health and care professionals was last updated in March 2023 and the GCC continues to ask that this advice be followed.
We do not judge that, in the majority of cases, there is any requirement for enhanced protocol beyond the requirements of The Code to treat patients in a hygienic and safe environment (A6), however chiropractors should continue to exercise their professional judgement, in conjunction with their patients wishes, in determining whether it is appropriate to see any, and each, patient.
