What is a Letter of Authorisation?

Companies House will require a GCC Letter of Authorisation if the following words are used within a limited company application:

  • Chiropractic
  • Chiropractor
  • Chiropractitioner
  • Chiropractic practitioner
  • Chiropractic physician

This requirement only extends to limited companies (Ltd). There is no requirement for a Letter of Authorisation if you use any other type of corporate structure such as a sole trader or partnership.

To obtain your Letter of Authorisation, complete the online form below. The GCC is unable to send the Letter of Authorisation directly to Companies House. You should allow up to five working days to process your request.
