Background

Our strategy for 2026 to 2030, sets out where we want the GCC to be in 2030, and what we believe we need to deliver in order to get there.

The strategy was developed and consulted on in Summer 2025 and the final version was agreed by Council and published in October 2025. The strategy continues the work began in earlier strategies, and our vision and mission remain consistent.

Vision and Mission

to be a respected regulator of a trusted profession, enhancing professionalism in chiropractic care and ensuring the public can access high-quality care safely and confidently.

Strategic Aims

  1. We will uphold professional standards throughout the education and career of every chiropractor
  2. We will deliver our core regulatory and registration activities to a high standard
  3. We will collaborate to shape the profession’s future

Each of these three aims is supported by deliverable objectives that we will pursue during the lifetime of the strategy.

We also identify that, to be an effective regulator, the GCC must be an effective organisation, so the GCC Strategy (2026-2030) contains further deliverable objectives that will support our organisational effectiveness.
