2023 Retention Notice for registrants
05.10.22
05.10.22
All registrants will soon receive their retention notice to remain on the GCC Register of Chiropractors in 2023. That will link to the GCC Registrant Portal to enable completion of the online application, update professional indemnity details and pay the required registration fee.
The closing date for completed applications is Wednesday, 30 November, at 5pm.
The GCC registration year is from 1 January to 31 December; the end date remains the same whether registering, transferring, restoring or retaining registration.
Fees
The registration fees for 2023 are:
In-practice registrants: £800
Non-practising registrants: £100
The 2023 fee remains the same as 2022. The GCC has never increased the registration fee. Costs are rising for everyone, and we work hard to maintain the fee level.
The rules regarding payment of registration fees are contained within the GCC's founding legislation (Chiropractors Act 1994). The Act stipulates that the total fee must be paid before registration can be granted. The GCC, therefore, cannot offer pro rata payment for registration fees, ie. monthly instalments for the current year.
Paying your 2024 fees by monthly instalment
The registration fee can be paid monthly in advance for the following year, ie. 2024, by Direct Debit (£66.66/12 months or £80/10 months). Registrants can create a Direct Debit mandate via their GCC Registrant Portal page (Direct Debit tab).
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
As part of the retention process, we encourage registrants to complete or update their Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) information. Some changes to the information collected have been made over the last 12 months.
By completing the EDI profile, the GCC can monitor its regulatory activity for any evidence of different or disproportionate impacts against any of the UK's nine protected characteristics and provide valuable intelligence about diversity within the profession. The data also helps improve our policies and processes to ensure we do not unintentionally place barriers in our work.
The EDI data can be updated anytime via the GCC Registrant Portal page (Diversity tab).
