We are working with stakeholders across the chiropractic profession to help to address the impact COVID-19 is having on chiropractic students.
We recognise that this is an anxious time for all students, particularly for those who are nearing the end of their studies. We know that chiropractic programmes across the UK have been significantly impacted as a result of the pandemic and in many cases practice-based learning, clinic training and assessments have been reduced, and regrettably in some cases stopped for the present time.
The GCC is working closely with education providers and other stakeholders within the profession to ensure students are supported to continue their programmes of study and progress towards registration.
Students will need to speak to their individual education provider to understand what measures they are putting in place to support programmes and the impact that these may have on studies.
In addition, we have issued advice for education providers to manage this in a manner which is flexible and ensures our standards can continue to be maintained.
