The GCC’s Education Committee  is looking for a new Lay Member

The General Chiropractic Council (GCC) is an independent statutory body established by Parliament to regulate chiropractors in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Gibraltar and is currently looking to appoint a new lay (non-chiropractic) member to our Education Committee.

It would be great to hear from you if this is something of interest to you and you have the necessary skill sets to meet the requirements.

For clarity, lay members are defined as members who:

•       Are not, and have never been registered chiropractors;

•       Do not hold qualifications which would entitle them to apply for registration with the GCC under the Chiropractors Act 1994

The GCC’s Education Committee plays an important role in ensuring high standards of education and training across the chiropractic profession. The Committee is responsible for approving and quality assuring chiropractic degree courses, ensuring that our CPD system is effective and overseeing the Test of Competence to make certain that chiropractors coming to practise in the UK meet our standards.

Joining the Education Committee will give you a unique opportunity to deploy your knowledge, experience and expertise to help drive chiropractic education and training standards higher to reflect wider health regulation trends and ensure public protection.

Interested? You can find out more information in our application pack.
